This fund raising project is targeted to be a contributing member of many other projects that assist with necessary funding to groups battling breast and prostate cancer.

The 2008 date for the event will be updated on this Web page as 2008 moves forward.

October 2007 events included:

• Golf tournaments ("Shamble" format) held at North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh NC.

• Tennis tournament (Two-person teams) held at North Ridge.

• Auction, also held at North Ridge.

The 2007 project was successful -- as a result of the participation of many people. Thank you!

Participation in the October 2007 event may have included your participating in the golf or tennis tournament, your donating an item or items for the auction, sponsoring a golf foursome, sponsoring a golf hole or a tennis court, becoming a Gold/Silver or Bronze level tournament sponsor, and/or your volunteering to assist with the planning/followup of the planned events -- and, helping with the event itself. We always need your help!

This Web site is intended to be an assist to you by providing information that comes about as the time of the events approach, plus providing you a way to interact with us for any questions/ideas/comments or contributions such as items for the upcoming auction.

For 2007, we once again intended that near-100% of money raised in this project would be provided to an extremely important project: The Angel Fund, through The Rex Hospital Foundation. The Angel Fund will direct proceeds to benefit breast cancer and prostate cancer patients in Wake County. The monies will be used to pay for medicines, arrange transportation, purchase wigs and other items of a personal nature needed to support their recovery.

The 2007 total amount provided to the above was over $56,000 for the one-day event. Thank you, all, for your participation and for your generosity.

We know that the two-year total of $116,000 will be well spent by the charities.

We also know that 2008 will bring us an additional challenge -- and, with your help, a contribution to assist with Breast and Prostate Cancer diagnosis and treatment.
