Scanned Document

This is an example of a scanned document used during discussions between family members regarding upcoming travel plans. Once scanned into the PC, the document may be easily sent to other family members using eMail and the Internet or placed on an Internet web page for access by family/friends who are told the location of the web page for the family/friends' comments sent back to the vacation organizer.

The comments, above, are applicable to other scanned/etc. PC photos/documents/files which are part of your home PC environment.

Once the family member's have made their decision on which castle to visit, they can look further into specifics.

This is another example of a scanned document. The document is two-sided (front and back). This is the scanned front-side.

Then, using a product such as PaintShopPro, the two scanned images may be put together into one image.

Scanned Document...

This is another scanned document, from a magazine. The scanned document was modified by adding some text. The PC image, then, could be sent to another family member/friend for their review before a final decision would be made on purchasing the sweater.

Scanned Photographs

This is a scanned photo taken while on a North Carolina ferryboat during a 2-day-trip from Raleigh.

As mentioned earlier in this web page, photos may be scanned and used during discussions between family members regarding, for example, travel plans/results. Once scanned into the PC, the photos may be easily sent to other family members using eMail and the Internet or placed on an Internet web page for access by family/friends who are told the location of the web page.

Scanned Photographs...

This is the result of scanning two different photos and putting them together into one PC file. Use your web browsers bottom scroll bar, if necessary, to see the entire picture.

Scanned Photographs...

Golf is one of our favorite vacation activities. This is a scanned photo taken while on one of the great courses of the world, in Scotland.

Scanned Photographs...

This is another scanned photo taken from the same Scottish golf course. It is one of our favourite par-3's holes we have ever played.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Digital Camera Photographs

Instead of scanning a photo, a digital camera image may be "imported" directly into the PC. This is a photo taken on a par-3 golf hole in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Digital Camera Photographs...

This is a second photo taken on another par-3 golf hole in Raleigh.

Digital Camera Photographs...

The digital cameras work as well, inside. This is a photo of some baking results done over the holidays. Only an overhead light was used; the camera's flash was not used and, in fact, is often not needed. If the photo is "too dark" you could use something like PaintShop Pro to brighten the image.

Summary -

I hope this brief example of scanned and digital camera input to PC files gives you some ideas on how you can use your home PC system together with your "real life" experiences to give you a smile and share some things with other friends and family members.
