An SCScompA-Recommended Summer 2000 Dessert

This is an another example of something that may be placed on a Web page and that Web page be pointed-to by an eMail to family/friends.

The following is a small set of pictures taken by a digital camera and one picture that resulted from scanning a couple of items in a recent Wine Spectator magazine.

The pictures were taken on an Olympus digital camera and the resultant digital images (JPGs) were easily moved to the PC using floppy disk support which came with the Olympus digital camera.

Note:

This file downloads multiple images. Please have patience until your web browser lets you know it has downloaded the images (a "Document Done" message or something similar will let you know that). It will take a few minutes! If you do NOT want to continue, just press the Stop button of your browser, followed by the Back button. 4 images are downloaded.

A Summer Dessert

The planned dessert was a Peach Trifle that we spotted in a recent Wine Spectator magazine.

Note: This picture is the result of scanning two different parts of the magazine and putting the two scanned images onto one picture for display here.

A Summer Dessert...

After our following the recipe's directions and adjusting for only two desserts, the finished items look tempting!

A Summer Dessert...

At the table, it looked equally as appetizing!

It did taste as good as it looked. However, it was quite a "heavy" dessert and the next time we make it we will have it "on its own" as an afternoon delight. This evening, 2/3rds of the following ended up waiting until the next day to be finished.

What was the Occasion?

Other than spoiling ourselves on a Saturday evening, it happened that one of us had an eagle on the par 4 shown below!

A nice drive followed by an 8-iron into the cup.
